Part time, 10 hours per week.

Nature of the work

The principal and customary work of an employee in this class of employment consists in organizing, preparing and conducting a series of activities, in keeping with the educational project, fostering the overall development of students in preschool and elementary school in his or her care, while ensuring their health and safety.

Responsabilities

  • Conduct and participate in sports, cultural, leisure and recreational activities, both indoors and outdoors.
  •  Assist students during activities and meals. Ensure the supervision and safety of students, administer first aid and, if necessary, administer medications.
  •  Maintain order and ensure the cleanliness of the premises and upkeep of material and equipment.
  •  Answer the parents’ questions and upon request, participate in information meetings intended for parents.
  •  Assist the teacher and the day care service technician in carrying out certain tasks.
  •  May be required to help students who so desire with their schoolwork.
  •  May perform any other related duties.

Required qualifications

  • Hold a Secondary School Diploma and an Attestation of Vocational Studies in Day Care Services or a diploma and an attestation of studies recognized as equivalent by the competent authority and have one (1) year of pertinent experience.
  • Hold a certificate dated no more than three (3) years attesting to the successful completion of
  •  A standard first-aid course of a minimum duration of 8 hours.
  •  A refresher course of a minimum duration of 6 hours updating the skills acquired in the course mentioned in subparagraph 1.

Salary and working conditions

  •  Salary between $ 25,20 and $ 29,07
  •  An isolation premium ($ 10 066 or $ 16 102)
